The first step when working with Dreamspeed Photography is the most important: the consultation. Before I photograph you, I want to know exactly what you want and make sure I’m the right photographer for you. We will meet at my studio just outside Chilhowie Virginia and talk about how YOU imagine your photoshoot going.

Being photographed is a personal, intimate experience. I want you to be completely comfortable with me and my studio. I want to learn all about you so I can deliver exactly what you want. During our consultation, we will talk in-depth about how you want to be photographed. We will talk about what you want to wear and where to get clothes for our photoshoot. Is this photoshoot all about you, or do you want to be photographed with your significant other, your sister, your mom, or your kids? Maybe you would like the first half of your photoshoot to be all about you, and then bring in your best friend. We will talk about the mood of your photoshoot. Maybe you prefer lots of light and smiles. Or perhaps you are more serious and want shadows and serious expressions. We will talk about the props. I will show you my props and backgrounds, and we will discuss what kind of props you can bring that will mean something to you. We will talk about your make-up and hair. I will talk to my hair and make-up artist about what you want so she will be prepared the day of your shoot. I will show you all around my studio so you will know exactly what to expect the day of the photoshoot. I will show you all my products and give you all my prices so you can be considering what would work best in your house and what works best for your budget.
