Bienvenue! Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the small, central Virginia town of Culpeper is home to The Frenchman’s Corner. The shop started in 2001 as a small candy kiosk inside what was then the Hazel River Inn Restaurant by our founder Marc Oremiatzski-Ast — the Frenchman. Since that time, the company has grown to become the #1 independent retailer of Neuhaus chocolate in the United States.
The Frenchman’s Corner offers a very welcoming atmosphere and some of the best chocolates made the world over. In addition to chocolates, they sell gorgeous pastries that customers often say are almost too beautiful to eat. In addition, the shop offers other gourmet items that are sure to satisfy your pallet any time of the year.
Now The Frenchman’s Corner, the charming chocolate store on Main Street in Culpeper Virginia, is changing ownership. Two of my best friends, Edward Hanlin and Larry Walters, will be the new owners of The Frenchman’s Corner next year. Larry and Edward strive to make The Frenchman’s Corner a friendly main street store with white glove service.
I am doing chocolate photography for them on an ongoing basis. They are using my photos in their ongoing social media campaigns and their website. I am having so much fun photographing their chocolates with my macro lens.
Stop by and try some of their great chocolate. It is a feast for the eyes as well as the palette. Check out their website for store hours and directions.
