I know I’m not alone in this. I don’t think it matters how thin or fat you are, every woman has issues surrounding swimsuits. Even when I was a thin as rail I thought I was fat and that everyone was looking at me and talking about how fat I was. So I believe everyone can relate to this video by Loey Lane in which she talks about the reasons people say fat girls shouldn’t wear bikinis.
It’s amazing to me that perfect strangers feel it’s ok to walk up to somebody and give them any kind of advice, much less tell them they look bad. I would love to see a study done about this odd practice to determine how many “fat” men vs. “fat” women are approached. I would bet my life that people don’t feel the “need” to tell men they are fat and shouldn’t appear in public.
