On my last shoot, I had the pleasure of working with a new model, Mina. I met her through my long-time excellent model Rowan. When I saw her for the first time, I loved her elvish, magic look. I had a vision of shooting her in the woods with a twig crown. Tracey, my make-up artist and stylist, created a gorgeous twig crown, but unfortunately it rained on our shoot date. We ended up having to shoot indoors. I’m so grateful for the rain now because I love the way these images came out. It gave me a chance to use a rose background I just got from Joanne’s Fabrics.
Mina is a wonderful, creative person and was great to work with. She lives in a small rural town in Southwest Virginia. She enjoys farming, gardening, cooking, and any kind of art. She brought flowers from her yard for us to use for the shoot. She spends most of her time at home with her chickens and cats or out with her fiancé, Maverick, and her friend, Rowan.
I would still like to shoot Mina in the woods with the twig crown. I look forward to working with her again at Thanksgiving.
